Darren Criss, You Are Amazing
So, since it was released this morning, I've listened to Bills, Bills, Bills numerous times. Actually, not as many times as you may think as it isn't on my mp3 player yet, but a fair bit regardless. It sounds amazing and it makes me want to dance FOREVER. Basically, I love the Warblers and I love Darren and I love Dalton (most of the time) and I love this show and I love everything and everyone forever and ever!
I've listened to the other songs a bit...Need You Now is awesome...haven't listened to the Finn solo in full because it's, well, Finn and apparently Thriller's up now, but it wasn't when I checked so I haven't iven that one a thorough listen yet. So, I guess that means I lied. I HAVEN'T listened to the other songs. BUT I have an excuse that I think is valid.
Yesterday when I was trying desperately to read this article for Cultural Anthropolgy that was far too boring for words, I decided music would help. So, I went to youtube and decided to look up Darren Criss. My god, you guys. You don't even know how amazing this man is to me now. Like, I always loved him for being Harry Freaking Potter and now Blaine (aka Kurt's one true love, no big deal) and because he's a freaking sweetheart but...I had NO IDEA how amazing his voice could be. AVPM/AVPS does not do it justice because the equipment they used for the album didn't seem like it was the best. Glee doesn't do it justice because they use far too much autotune and as much as I praised the Warblers two paragraphs up, Darren by himself is freaking amazing. I've been listening to four songs on loop all day and all of yesterday and, for serious you guys, they are AMAZING. I shall pimp them out for you now.
Not Alone-This was used in AVPM but Darren actually wrote it before the musical and they just tweaked it a bit to fit it in. The original is...oh my god. Darren+Piano=GODLINESS!
Sami-Originally written for this web show they created alled Little White Lie. The song was rewritten for AVPM and renamed Harry. Jamie Lynn Beaty did a beautiful job with it...but Darren...is just Darren so...
Human-He wrote this for an EP he released (that I need right now, mind you) and it is very mellow and nice. Also, Darren harmonizes with himself. Yup. Not just one track of Darren-ness, but SEVERAL!
Don't You-This song owns my soul. No lie. Except, I find it unrealistic because Darren doesn't get the girl at the end. Who would turn him down? He's supermegafoxyawesomehot.

So, I was a hot mess during most of this episode. Probably because it was like two in the morning when I watched it and by that point anything can set me off. I Wanna Hold Your Hand almost killed me but I managed to survive it. Then the freaking ending came when Kurt's dad gripped his hand and this was my exact reaction.

TEENAGE DREAM
I started watching for Darren, so when I first saw this clip I was like, "Yay! Darren's singing pretty, and he's bouncy and amazing and EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL AND NOTHING HURT!" This scene is also, I think, where I first started to develop a love of both Kurt alone and of Klaine. This scene right here. Even before I saw the rest of the episode. Kurt's smile could seriously cure cancer and AIDS at the same time. No joke. Kittens and puppies are born when he smiles and double rainbows go all the way across the sky. That is the power he has. So when he smiles at Blaine singing I'm always like, :DDDDD. Plus, you know, the way he smiles at Blaine totally equals love at first song, you guys. And yes, in Glee that is a thing. ;)
Honourary Mention: Baby It's Cold Outside was seriously more adorable than newborn puppies.

KLAINE!
Do I even need to explain? I am madly in love with Kurt and Blaine is played by DARREN CRISS so obviously when the two of them get together I squeal like I have never squealed before. I seriously want Kurt to be happy (because then we get more of that super powerful smile ;)) and I think, as cheesy as it sounds, Blaine could be his happy ending. They still have some shit to work out (see the ESSAY I wrote a couple of days ago) but if they can get through their shit together (which I honestly believe they can) I think they could be the most stable couple on this show. Now, granted, that's not saying much, but it means they'll last longer than, like, ten episodes. They need to be. Seriously.
Honourary Mention: St. Berry. No lie. I LOVED Jesse and Rachel together. I know he was an epic dick to her in the end but I think in the future (like five years down the road type of thing) if they got back together they could be AMAZING.
