whoisthemonsterSo, hiatus is killing me slowly. I'm currently rewatching Duets and I just passed the scene where Kurt's all "Why can't I slow dance at my prom?" and I'm all "Just you wait, baby! Blaine's on his way!!" Basically what I'm trying to say is I need some Klaine. Now. So, I present to you my list of my TOP 11 KLAINE MOMENTS EVER!
Why top 11? No, I'm not trying to be the Nostalgia Critic. I actually originally had about twenty five moments written down and I was going to narrow it down to ten but when I hit eleven I just...I couldn't delete any of them. I was just staring at the list with this face. O.O So, yeah. Top 11. HERE WE GO!
11. Pavarotti Molting (Special Education)
So, I love this scene. Most of this episode made Blaine out to be kind of a conformist bitch (although I have an idea as to why) but this moment was great. One, Kurt calls and Blaine just drops everything to see him which is adorbs. Two, what Blaine says here is awesome. Kurt's having problems fitting in at Dalton but Blaine seriously believes in Kurt. He believes Kurt can survive Dalton and he believes Kurt can be happy there even when Kurt himself is having doubts. It's just a really cute friendshippy moment for the two of them and if Kurt's face at the end is any indication he really needed to hear that from Blaine. The fact that Blaine KNEW it was what Kurt needed to hear just shows how in sync they are. <3
10. Blaine in Kurt's Bed (Blame It On the Alcohol)
Yes, this is on here. It was two seconds of epic and it needed to be mentioned. I think what I liked most about this was the fanfiction it spawned, to be honest. Kurt and Blaine SHARED A BED, you guys. Now, I don't think they had crazy drunken sex or anything (even though some writers DO seem to think that's a possibility) but there had to have been at least some drunken cuddles. I peg Blaine as the type to hug pillows and such in his sleep so I don't think it's a stretch to think he might have cuddled Kurt a little in his sleep. The idea alone warrants it being on this list. :D
9. Baby, It's Cold Outside (A Very Glee Christmas)
So, I've said it before and I'll say it again. This scene is cuter than newborn puppies. The way they interact with each other through the song is gloriously adorable. Not to mention the fact that it flows so flawlessly even though this is supposed to be a first rehearsal just goes to show once again how in sync they are (granted, it could just be that this is Glee, but still). My favourite part about this scene though is definitely the look they give each other after they're done singing. It's just so...happy. They both look so giddy over it and Blaine is TOTALLY giving the same look here that he gave after he kissed Kurt in Original Song. Seriously. It's there. This look alone kept me going through Christmas hiatus and the weeks of BIOTA and Sexy when people started jumping ship. This look alone was the moment I knew these two could seriously be in love (rather than BFFL's who I just ship because I'm cool like that).
8. The First Coffee Date (Never Been Kissed)
Kurt's been alone an awfully long time. Sure, he has friends and a father who is SUPER supportive, but if watching Duets again tonight showed me anything it's that Kurt needed someone who got it. Someone who understood him. Then, he goes to this school and he meets this boy and the boy sits him down and asks what's wrong and when Kurt breaks down in front of him, he listens. He understands. He tries his very best to help. It doesn't matter that these two are strangers and they've literally only met, like, ten minutes ago. Blaine sees Kurt needs him and he listens. Kurt needs someone and Blaine's there, so he opens up in a way he hasn't before. This is huge. This is how their entire relationship really began. It's basically just awesome.
7. "Blaine loves football, I love scarves." (The Sue Sylvester Bowl Shuffle)
So, this is one of those odd ones I don't think many people will really understand, but I'm going to try and explain it anyway. Kurt wants attention. He has, in the past, tried to change himself in order to get said attention. With Finn, he tried to make himself some sort of shoulder to cry on in the hopes Finn would like that and find him romantically appealing. With his father, he tried to become a straight, macho guy on more than one occassion to become the perfect son. Blaine, being Kurt's first gay friend (as well as being someone Kurt finds romantically appealing) means a lot to him. I really didn't want Kurt to try and change himself in order for Blaine to like him. When this interaction first occurred, I was worried when Kurt said he and Blaine both love football. I was worried Kurt had been portraying himself as something he's not over the months since we'd last seen these two at Christmas. Then, he said this line. Blaine knows him He knows Kurt's not a big sports guy and Kurt doesn't NEED to be one for Blaine to like him. Even though it was a very small thing, this line showed me that for once, Kurt didn't need to change or fight to get the attention he wants. Blaine gets him for him. That is pretty damn awesome.
6. "You're perfect. He's going to love you." (Silly Love Songs)
(Best picture I could find. The moment I'm referring to is only the pics in the second row. I swear I don't approve of SadPanda!Kurt.)
Another strange choice. For those who don't remember this itty bitty line, it takes place right before Blaine sings to the Gap Guy about sex toys. Blaine is about to back down, when Kurt grabs him and pushes him towards Jeremiah. Now, why do I like this? It's really simple. Do you guys remember last season when Kurt made over Rachel? Remember how he intentionally made her look like a hooker because she was his romantic rival? Remember how it was a bitch move? Yeah, I do. Kurt can be selfish. It's one of his less attractive qualities. This moment, however, was so unselfish, it threw me for a minute. With Finn, Kurt would do anything if it meant he could maybe get him to like him. Blaine is different. He cares too much about him to do something that could hurt him, even if it meant Blaine was with someone else. Blaine is Kurt's best friend, his mentor, his kindred spirit. He's so much that Kurt can't help but want Blaine to be happy (I think Blaine feels this way about Kurt as well, but that'll come up later).
5. "Kurt is the most moral and compassionate person I've ever met." (Sexy)
This moment was yet another tiny one, however I think it's huge. For one, this scene remains the only one in the whole series where Blaine is shown without Kurt. Now, I love Kurt to bits and I love Klaine forever (if you couldn't tell by this here post) but if Blaine is ever going to be developed as an individual character, he needs to be seen without Kurt a bit. Now, granted this scene was completely about Kurt, but it allowed Blaine to say some things he probably wouldn't around him. Like this, for example. I am of the belief that Blackbird was a long time coming and Blaine's loved him since at least the Christmas episode and just didn't know it yet. This line basically solidified that for me. It's the first time we hear Blaine say anything about how he feels about Kurt (that isn't attached to some love confession, because that changes things) and what he says is this huge compliment. Obviously, he is speaking to Kurt's father so he needs to say something nice, but this is an awesome thing to say. I don't know about you, but I don't exactly say this about my platonic friends. ;)

Of course this moment is on the list. If it wasn't I would be a terrible Klainer. I think the reason I adore it so much is because I've been saying since Silly Love Songs that I want Blaine's grand realization to hit him like a freight train. I wanted it to be huge, so much so that we can tell he's visibly shaken by what he's just realized. That's totally what happened here, and I will say I squealed when it did. Not to mention, his realization happens when Kurt's so open and vulnerable and so completely Kurt it leaves no doubts that the person Blaine is moved by is the boy we know and love and not some sort of Dalton!bot (not to say the Dalton kids are bots, but I've heard this arguement against both Dalton and Klaine and this scene totally showed that was NOT what was going on). It's just, love. That is all. :)
3. "We've always been completely honest with each other." (Silly Love Songs)
This entire scene was glorious. They spoke about their feelings and even though it didn't end in kisses and rainbows, they still, you know, had a conversation. They're Harry and Sally. This scene is awesome. This line, however, is my favourite part. I want you to think about the other pairings in this show and tell me how many have a sort of honesty policy in place. Finchel was broken up by Finn not telling Rachel about Santana. Last year, lies are what broke up Fuinn (and Quinn's not being completely honest with him now, either). Quam was broken up by cheating and lies. Brittana could've been on a long time ago if Santana would have been honest about her feelings. Bartie was built on the fact that Brittany wanted to make Santana jealous (something, I assume, Artie doesn't know). Carma broke up because Emma wasn't honest about her feelings for Will. All in all, Glee has this issue with pairings breaking up due to lieing and miscommunication. Klaine talks about their issues. They discuss what's bugging them and they figure out how to fix it. They're HONEST about their opinions. At this point, I knew that when Klaine became a real thing they would go the distance. Relationships built on honesty are awesome and they last. Klaine is one of these relationships.
2. First Meeting/Teenage Dream (Never Been Kissed)
Until Original Song I didn't think any moment could top their first. They see each other on the stairs and Blaine reaches out and takes Kurt's hand. Most boys he knows won't even touch him for fear of catching his gay, or something, but here's a guy who willingly takes his hand and leads him. Not to mention the slow-mo hallway scene. Seriously, that scene is so typical romantic comedy that I have a hard time believing the powers that be didn't know Blaine was going to be the boyfriend at this point. Then, the first scene that made me ship Klaine (even before the episode aired). Teenage Dream. Kurt smiles bigger than I think he ever has and it's all because of this guy who held his hand and is now serenading him. This is amazing for Kurt and it's so amazing to watch. THERE'S JUST SO MUCH HAPPINESS AND KLAINEBOWS AND UNICORNS AND EVERYTHING IS HAPPY FOREVER, OKAY?!

Do I need to explain? I shouldn't have to. This was just beautiful and amazing and everything I wanted in life. I've seen this scene about a thousand times at this point and it still never gets old. Blaine's confession is simply beautiful and everything Kurt deserves and the kiss itself is so filled with love it's a little overwhelming. I actually think I may have blacked out a little the first time I watched it. I seriously could not recall what happened after that first kiss until I rewatched. Kurt looks so happy and Blaine looks so happy and everyone is happy and YAY! Also, can I take a moment to talk about how full circle everything's come since NBK in this scene? Upon my (I think it was) fiftieth rewatch I finally payed attention to where this scene took place. It's in the same room AT THE SAME FREAKING TABLE as that first coffee shop scene. Four months ago, Kurt opened his heart up to Blaine in this very place and now it's Blaine opening his to Kurt. Not to mention they use the same piano piece from the slow-mo hallway scene. I LOVE IT WHEN THINGS COME FULL CIRCLE, YOU GUYS! Basically, everything is happiness and kittens and beautiful, lovely klainebows and I don't think anything could ever completely bring me down.
