I'm Having Feelings...
May. 21st, 2011 06:06 pmSo, the Supernatural finale was last night and it gave me many a feeling. Now, I've seen people angsting and bitching at each other over these two episodes and basically no one seems to be taking them well. A lot went down last night and I just really wanted to address a few things if I may.

I Have A Lot Of Feelings
Feb. 23rd, 2011 04:04 pmSo, normally I don't do episode reviews because, well, who wants to listen to me rant/rave about a show for a whole post, right? However, last night's episode of Glee...it...well...as I posted above, I have a lot of feelings.
Usually, when episodes hit me hard like this (or spoilers or whatever) I go over to the fierce bitches at
kurt_blaine and they help get everything into perspective. They basically calm me down big time. However, I read through their reaction post and they had a lot of feelings too. Most of which didn't match mine at all.
Then, there was tumblr which was absolutely FULL of people with much anger. I really shouldn't have expected much considering it's tumblr, but still.
So, I slept on it and upon waking up I realized...yeah I still have a lot of feelings about how things were done last night. I've mostly calmed down and I'm not going to sit here stuck on capslock or something, but this is something I have to say. Even if no one reads it (and I kind of hope no one does because...well...do you really want to hear me rant about GLEE of all things?) I need to get the amount of fail in this episode off of my chest.
( Yes, Burt. Something DEFINITELY happened in that tent. ;) )

A Small Rant...
Jan. 29th, 2011 09:14 pmWARNING: THERE ARE POSSIBLE GLEE SPOILERS IN THIS POST. SCROLL DOWN TO THE CUT IF YOU WANT TO SKIP STRAIGHT TO THE MEME!
So, I've been...surviving over this hiatus by reading fic, reading spoilers and more than anything, speculation. Speculating and over-analyzing is probably one of my favourite things to do in fandom, truth be told. It's just so much fun to try and fit all of the pieces together and make something that could be awesome. I'm not always right, far from it, but I try my best to look at everything impartially and figure out how everything COULD work together.
That being said, I love Klaine. I want them to happen worse than bad on Glee. I DON'T want it to just...happen, because if they don't work for it then Ryan Murphy will get bored (like with Sam/Quinn). I've been thinking over the last few weeks about what needs to happen before Klaine happens and about how they could finally, AWESOMELY come together. Then, this was posted on Glee Brazil.
At Mckinley High everybody is in love. While couples start, others end. Sam and Quinn notice that the relationship between the two only exist for interest and decide to break up. A sincere love is about to begin between Puck and Lauren due to a silly joke. Rachel convinces Brittany to change her appearance, and Santana decides to dress as Rachel out of jealousy. Artie falls in love with Brittany's new look and with his friends from “ New Directions ”, he prepares a serenade of love. Emma hides a secret. Kurt thinks about declaring his feelings for Blaine, but he gives up when he discovers that Blaine has an old love interest that he has not been able to forget.

kurt_blaine have debated this spoiler for the past few hours and reached over 1000 comments on its discussion post. Reading their posts (especially the ones that assure me this is NOT a reliable source and this isn't neccesarily true) has calmed me down a little, but I'd still like to discuss this with anyone willing to listen. (If this is not you, you may skip down to the pretty little lj cut below).
At the moment, Kurt and Blaine should NOT be together because they don't see each other for what they really are. Kurt sees Blaine as this amazing knight in shining armour who saved him from the evils of Karofsky and is trying to make him feel welcome even when he's being stifled creatively be Dalton. Blaine sees Kurt as someone who went through what he went through and thus he projects himself onto Kurt and is trying to give him the support and friendship he never recieved when he was going through similar situations. This does not a relationship make.
However, the way to fix this is NOT IN ANY WAY to make YET ANOTHER love triangle out of them. I know there was another interview where Chris let it slip that there was going to be a love triangle, but the way it's being presented here really rubs me the wrong way. If there was someone who liked one of them and caused misunderstandings that strung them along for a few episodes, that would be fine. However, Blaine still having feelings for some other guy while he openly flirts with Kurt is in no way okay by me. This is just making drama for drama's sake. And, on that note, it's not even INTERESTING drama. EVERYONE is in a love triangle at this point. If you wanted to keep them apart, there are other, more interesting ways to do so. Let me give you an example.
When I first began to think about these two, and how we could possibly create drama between them that would cause them to really SEE each other, I came up with a scenario. So, Kurt and Blaine get together. Soon. Like Valentine's Day episode soon. However, within, like, an episode or two, Kurt starts to notice Blaine treats him differently around the rest of the school than he does when their alone. This has always been the case (See Special Education when compared to The Substitute), however Kurt thought it would change when they got together. He confronts Blaine about this and finds out Blaine's actually really insecure. I have a funny feeling, there's more to this "I was bullied and it really pissed me off" story than meets the eye. Blaine doesn't have a support system (which is why he tries so hard to be one for Kurt). So, yeah. Kurt finds out Blaine has CRAZY issues, and they decide maybe they should just be friends for a bit longer so Kurt can help Blaine the way Blaine helped him.
Cue more cute friendshippy stuff with secret flirtatiousness for a few episodes. After some sort of development with Karofsky, Mckinley becomes safe for Kurt again and he transfers back (hopefully, just in time for Regionals). Blaine is lost without him and transfers with him. This causes him to face his own fears (because even with Karofsky gone, there's still bullies at Mckinley) and, if he joins New Directions (which, of course, he will) develop a support system that consists of more than just Kurt. With the help of his friends he develops confidence in himself and feels ready to finally have a stable relationship with Kurt. EVERYONE IS HAPPY! :)
Also, I would not be opposed to the bringing up Blaine's family. Blaine told Kurt that HE went to the administration at his own school. He doesn't mention his parents being involved (which is interesting when you see two episodes later how involved Burt got when he found out about Kurt's bullying) which may not have been his intention, but if it was, it would definitely be something worth pursuing. As I mentioned, I don't think Blaine has a support system, which includes his parents.
ANYWAY, I basically hope that it's true that this is fake x1000000. I'm not opposed to Blaine having a romantic/sexual history, I just don't think a love triangle is neccesary in order to create drama and tension between Klaine. There's plenty of other things that could be persued that haven't been done to death on this show.
So, yeah. Now, ON TO THE MEME!
( You're irritating. But don't take that personally. )

Coraline Ruined My Life
Aug. 8th, 2009 09:35 pmAs the title entails, I have just finished watching Coraline, and I'm now dead inside. I'd like to give you, livejournal users, a warning. If you aren't into movies that CREEP YOU OUT OMG, I wouldn't suggest you see this movie. Especially if your like me and you look for symbolism and such in everything. This is like a movie about the devil in the guise of a friendly children's movie (which it isn't, by the way). So, basically, don't watch this movie. EVER.
