It's been a long time but...

whoisthemonsterI had to post to tell you all about the wonders of Ai-kon 2009 (for those who haven't heard about it already :P)
FRIDAY!
After getting there at 1pm and standing in line for hours, Sarah and I finally got to start Ai-kon! We got in early to the vendors room (which was totally awesome, by the way) and did major shopping before being met by everyone else. We then went to the art fair and then to dinner. We didn't really do much after that until Caitlin Glass' Ouran Panel. IT WAS HILLARIOUS! She answered some questions and we all had a good laugh talking about the wonders of Ouran. She likes Hikaru best out of the twins (D:) and she thinks Mori's the hottest (because if you were trapped in the woods he'd build you a cabin and then go kill a bear LMAO!). We also watched the bloopers off the DVD which truly never get old. After we went hom and off to bed!
SATURDAY!
Sarah and I got there quarter to ten (because Sarah wanted to watch Angelic Layer at ten). I went shopping solo and spent most of the remainder of my money (I should probably mention here that I ended up spending about $400 at Ai-kon...even though I didn't even have $400...funny how that happens...). Then I met up with Anna and we got Sarah and went to the autograph signing. Caitlin signed my Ouran Part 2 (as part 1 is being lent out right now) and they all signed my badge. After we watched the Digimon movie, which is always good for a laugh and atrip down memory lane. The best part of that was at the end when Willis kisses Kari on the cheek and Davis flips out. Someone in the audience went "Oh, it's on!" and someone else said, "That's why Japan and America don't get along!" and I laughed. It was awesome. After that, we met with Arielle/Ambe, had lunch and went shopping again. Then we went to the CLAMP tea party in which I won a Japanese Magic Knight Rayearth artbook for being way too knowledgable when it comes to CLAMP works. :P OH! This is also around the time I met who we refer to as Creepy Misa. I was cosplaying as Mello on Saturday (and Sunday) and got lots of hugs and pictures, which were very nice, however, there was this one girl dressed as Misa who was literally stalking me and it was rather creepy. She showed up periodically during the day and whould follow us for hours before going to find other people. ANYWAY, backing away from the creepy, we went to Pizza Hut for dinner and then after we found Brenden Smith! We were all like "OMG BRENDEN :D" The best part was, he wanted to cosplay so I lent him my Tomoyo costume (which looks like a school girl outfit) and a blue wig. He walked around refering to himself as the "sexy blue haired bitch" which was epic win! We walked around and I made a friend (however for the life of me I can't remember his name...). He was dressed as someone from Naruto (I think..) and holding up a sign saying "In need of friends" so I went and hung out with him for a couple hours. Then we (and a few others) went to watch Ouran (everyone else went to the dance). Then we went home.
SUNDAY!
Got there at nine and started things off by going to the bartering post. Basically, for a few hours you could go in and trade your old stuff with other anime fans for their old stuff. It was so funny because it started at 9:30 but only like four people showed up for the first hour. So after our initial trades we just sat there talking and waiting for people. It was more fun than you might think, andI got sime good stuff out of it. After I met up with the others and we went to another autograph signing followed by lunch. After that was done, I went to the AMV contest ( which was very awesome this year, by the way) followed by the opening ceremonies. Then, the con was over. Oh yeah, and creepy Misa managed to find me before the con ended and gave me a rather painful glomp. THAT IS ALL! AI-KON 09 HAS ENDED :(
